![]() The Zuni DoD build was my initial choice to play as a WD just because it had more pets, but I quickly realized the awkward playing style of having to hit the monsters with a mana spender before you shoot the poison darts just wasn't for me. The Zuni DoD has more pets (23 Fetishes) vs the LoD DoD (15 Fetishes), but both are very viable pet builds to push the leaderboards. Both builds revolve around the WD Fetishes doing most of the damage, so this truly is a pet build. So going against the Season 20 meta, I played exclusively LoD DoD and Zuni DoD builds. Given that the Mundunugu set isn't a pet build set although Spirit Barrage Phantasms were classified as pets last season, it reminded me too much of playing Necro Mages. Of course Season 20 was the season of the WD Mundunugu build. So wanting to play true pet builds, I started to play the Witch Doctor last season. Some may say the Necro Singularity Mage build is pet build, but it's more pet inspired in that the Singularity mages are more direct damage spells than pets. ![]() When I first started playing, I was mistaken in thinking that the Necromancer was really a pet class. I play mostly pet centric builds in Diablo 3. If you want the strongest build for the Witch Doctor for Season 21, it really is hard to beat the relatively new Mundunugu set build even after the recent nerf to its firepower. All other WD pet builds can't go very high in Greater Rift levels (GR 100+). If you want to push the leaderboards, there are only two viable pets builds for the Witch Doctor: Legacy of Dreams Dagger of Darts (LoD DoD) and Zunimassa Dagger of Darts (Zuni DoD).
